DECEMBER
This year's Christmas Mixed Fun Competition took place on Wednesday 18th December,with 36 members taking part. The Yellow Ball Competition was won by Terri Holsgrove, Angus Reid, Helen and Malcolm Emms and the pairs Competition was won by Kim Shead and Richard Gibbs. Merry Christmas.
The Ladies Christmas Dinner this year, organised by our Vice Captain Kim Shead, was a fun night as can be seen in the photographs below -
NOVEMBER
This year's Presentation Night was well attended and seems to have been a great success. Thanks to all those ladies and their guest who help make the evening so enjoyable.
OCTOBER
Billy Birchwood is in the hands of the Seniors - we lost again with combines scores of 542 to the Seniors and 459 to the Ladies. It was a great competition - we'll done Mike and his old boys.
Congratulations Becky Overall winner of the NAPGC 2019 - we are all proud of you. Simply the best.
This year the Vice-Captain's RED team beat the Captain's BlUE Team in the Spirit Trophy competition by 13 points.
SEPTEMBER
On Wednesday 25th September we had our Autumn Mid-week Honour Board competition and playing for the Madge Wakeling Spoon. This year's winner was Chris Pooley with 33 points. Barbara Taylor came second With just a little rain to start, it was a very pleasant day and well attended. We enjoyed yourselves.
AUGUST
Our friendly match away against Dartford, was a draw. We could not have been more friendly than that.
At Pedham Place, in the final round of this year's Triangular, we lost to High Elms whose overall score was 497 points. We came second with 469 points. Perham Place scored 439.
The away break organised by Gill Holland, at East Sussex National, was a great success. We are looking forward to next year.
JULY

A fun Captains' Day started with a great round of golf in which Freda Sunley won the Ladies Rose Bowl with Vicky Way as runner up. The evening was well attended , especially by the ladies section. Thank you all for making the day so enjoyable.
This month's Triangular match results, puts Birchwood Park ahead of the pack by 2 points.
In the Lohan Cup, Patricia Carey and Becky Bainbridge unfortunately lost their match..
Lady Invitation Day
in total, 32 members and guests enjoyed a sunny day and great golf. Anne Prout and her guest Julie Flanders won with a score of 47 combined betterball stableford points. Sue Hamilton and her guest Nash Newport came second on count back with 44 points. We raised £180.00 for The British Heart Foundation from the raffle.
JUNE
The Pearson Trophy finished with our team losing our semi-final match against Sundridge Park - we'll done all the team and our supporters - our best result in this competition, so far.
In the first round of the Triangular we are joint leaders with High Elms.
In our friendly matches this month,Tudor Park beat us but we won against Chislehurst 2 and 1,
MAY
In the Pearson Trophy Quarter Final, we won both the first and second matches, home and away, against Royal Cinque Ports 4 and 3 each time. We are through to the Semi-Finals at Mid-Kent on Thursday 20th June- well done team.
In the first round of 2019 Ladies V Senior competitions, unfortunately, Billy Birchwood got a new blue ribbon: the Seniors beat us with scores of 422 to 365. We look forward to October when I hope we can reap revenge.
APRIL
In the Pearson Trophy, we won the "Round Robin" round and are through to the quarter final, playing against Royal Cinque Ports GC, home and away. Well done.
All Winners, Spring Meeting & Senior Trophy
The All Winners Honour Board was won by Freda Sunley and runner-up was Barbara Taylor.
The mid week Spring Meeting Honours Board was won by Anne Prout and runner up was Zillah Reeves.
The Seniors Trophy, presented by Barbara Fielder was won by Anne Prout.

In the Lohan Trophy, First round played at Knoll Park, Kim Shead and Becky Bainbridge won by 2 and 1. Best of luck in the next match.
MARCH
The Lady Captain's charity this year is The British Heart Foundation. You will see a huge wheelie bin in the changing room - please use this for any donations you wish to give.
We have now played all our first round Pearson Trophy matches and are at present top of the leader board with 5 wins out of 6 matches. We now must wait for the result of the final match to be played between Lamberhurst and Chart Hills in mid April, to see if we are to progress to the next round.
Unfortunately we lost all 3 games to Redlibbetts in the Tappin Trophy this year.
In the Captain's Cup Foursome we were narrowly beaten be Royal Black Heath. Our team took them to the 19th hole but lost.
AS mentioned, Elmari Christie and Anne Prout won their game against Ilford in the Daily Mail Foursome and will play the next match at Bexleyheath.
We are sorry to inform you that Gilly Thompson passed away recently. Her funeral will take place on Monday 8th April at 3.00 pm at Thames View Crematorium
Also, our sympathy to Joy. Laurie Curtis a past Seniors Captain and well like long standing member has also died Saturday 30th March.
